Once there was a day when there was no way to the Father. Once there was a time that anything you'd do was on your dime. Once there was a place where none but the priest could go farther. Once there was no way salvation could ever be mine.

Leviticus 16:34 —"This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: Atonement is to be made once a year for all the sins of the Israelites."

Hebrews 9: 6- 7 — “These preparations having thus been made, the priests go regularly into the first section, performing their ritual duties, 7 but into the second only the high priest goes, and he but once a year, and not without taking blood, which he offers for himself and for the unintentional sins of the people.

But I heard there was new ink spilled. New blood on the wooden frame. Who knew a carpenter from Israel mediated a great exchange? Who has sustained us through history? How has he revealed the mystery? That he would be substitutionary?

Fine print. Read it in the fine print: a new covenant, but always in the fine print.

Once there was a time Abraham shared with a stranger.

And Moses he stood in the presence of YHWH I AM.

Then there was a night Jacob wrestled with an angel.

And Isaiah bowed down to Messiah, the unblemished Lamb.

And I heard there was new ink spilled, new blood on the dotted line. Who knew a carpenter from Israel would exchange his life for mine?

Who has sustained us through history? How has he revealed the mystery? That he would be substitutionary?

Fine print. Read it in the fine print: a new covenant, but always in the fine print.

May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of his suffering. And the Holy One of heaven receive me unto his covering. May the host of heaven join with the elders and angels, singing hallelujah for the hem of his garment is over me.

I heard there was new ink; I heard there was new ink; I heard there was new ink. And I know, I know Jesus the mediator, Jesus the High Priest, Jesus the Son of David. Fine Print.
